ROHNERT PARK, Calif- Holland, The Netherlands, the Dutch, no matter how you say it, one thing is for sure... they know how to play soccer. Just ask Brazil. This summer, don't miss out on the opportunity to learn "Total Soccer" at the Frans Hoek Soccer Camp at Sonoma State University. The camp runs from July 5th to 9th and is open to boys and girls, ages eight to 18.
Frans Hoek, who will be conducting the camp at Sonoma State University for the 15th consecutive year, recently signed on as the goalkeeper coach at FC Bayern Munich, German champion and UEFA Champions League runner-up in 2010.
Hoek and his staff, made up of coaches from all levels throughout Holland and Europe, will teach The Hoek Method. Comprised of the best aspects from his time with Ajax Amsterdam, FC Barcelona, and KNVB (The Dutch Royal Soccer Federation), The Hoek Method is a top notch way to get geared up for the upcoming season.
Campers will also get the opportunity to watch live on the big screen as Holland continues their quest for a FIFA World Cup title in the next week's semifinals. The Dutch got two goals in the second half to eliminate the world's top-ranked team, Brazil, in the quarterfinals on Friday and await the winner of the Uruguay/Ghana fixture.
Though spots are going fast, some are still available for both the residential and commuter camps (more commuter camping spots are available at this time).
