ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  Holland, The Netherlands, the Dutch, no matter how you say it, one thing is for sure... they know how to play soccer.  Just ask Brazil.  This summer, don't miss out on the opportunity to learn "Total Soccer" at the Frans Hoek Soccer Camp at Sonoma State University.  The camp runs from July 5th to 9th and is open to boys and girls, ages eight to 18.

ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  Sonoma State's resident soccer guru and head men's soccer coach Marcus Ziemer will be featured throughout the FIFA World Cup on KBBF 89.1 FM.  Every Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Ziemer along with host Mike McDowd will present the World Cup Live Radio Show on KBBF, America's first public bilingual radio station.

ROHNERT PARK, Calif- Sonoma State sophomore midfielder Cory Taufer and senior goalkeeper Brook Johnson were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) All-West Region Second Team after helping the Seawolves to their third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Tournament. Junior Ryan Hall and sophomores Trevor Hurst and Cam Vickers earned Third Team all-region honors.

ROHNERT PARK, Calif- Sonoma State senior goalkeeper Brook Johnson was named to the Daktronics NCAA Division II West Region Men's Soccer First Team for the second straight year. Senior Stuart Gallant and junior Ryan Hall also joins Johnson on the first team as it was announced Wednesday.

LOS ANGELES- It is known to be hard to beat a team three times in a season. Cal State Dominguez Hills proved on Friday evening that it can be done. Three first half goals by the Toros, including two in the opening 13 minutes of play, proved to be too much as Sonoma State fell 3-0 in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship Tournament at Jesse Owens Track on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles.

ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  The Sonoma State men's soccer team drew the No. 3 seed for this weekend's NCAA West Regional Tournament, meaning a rematch with the No. 2 seed, Cal State Dominguez Hills, is on the ticket.  The Seawolves and Toros, fresh off their battle for the CCAA Championship on Sunday, will meet in the first of two regional semifinals at 4:00 pm on Friday in Los Angeles.

TURLOCK, Calif- Junior Ben Langwith scored two goals to give Sonoma State a 2-1 lead late in the second half but Cal State Dominguez Hills found the net with just 3:13 left in regulation then converted a penalty kick in the second overtime to defeat the Seawolves, 3-2, in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Men's Soccer Championship Final on Sunday afternoon at Warrior Stadium in Turlock.
