FINAL RESULTS: HTML | PDFPHOTO GALLERY FROM DAY 1ROHNERT PARK -- Sarah Rotter carded a 77 in her second round to finish seven-over-par with a score of 152 to finish in a tie for fifth place, just two shots behind individual medalist Mario Paola Fiorio of Barry University, leading the Sonoma State women's golf team to an eighth place finish at its own NCAA West Regional Spring Preview at Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park.
No. 6 Barry University (608; +32), from Miami Shores, Fla., and a member of the South Region and Sunshine State Conference, won the team title by 15 strokes over runner-up West Texas A&M (623; +47).
This week's tournament hosted by the Seawolves served as a preview to the 2015 NCAA Division II Women's Golf West Regional, which will also be hosted by SSU at Foxtail Golf Club on May 4-6.

Also competing with Rotter for the Sonoma State "Blue" team were
Alexis Hayes (82-77) and
Erin Martens (81-78), who tied for 27th with scores of 159 (+15) for the week,
Hannah Gregg tied for 44th with rounds of 79 and 84 for a total of 163 (+19) and
Haley Whitbeck brought in an 82 and an 86 to tally a 168 (+24) and tie for 60th out of 95 participants.
For the Sonoma State "White" team, which finished in 15th place with a team score of 671 (+95),
Abby Marina led the way with a 79-76--155 (+11) to tie for 10th overall.
Morgan Allen (83-85--168; +24) tied for 60th,
Monica Borowicz (88-84--172; +28) tied for 74th,
Kate Pasterkiewicz (91-86--177; +33) tied for 82nd and
Abby Novack (90-90--180; +36) tied for 89th.
In the team standings, Barry (608), West Texas A&M (623) and Newman (625) finished first, second and third, followed by California Baptist (628), Point Loma (629), Academy of Art (630) and Cal State Monterey Bay (631), all ahead of Sonoma State (633). Angelo State (643), Dixie State (652), Cal State East Bay (653), Western Washington (653), Northwest Nazarene (659), Dominican (665), Sonoma State "White" (671), Hawaii Hilo (674), Chico State (675), Simon Fraser (680) and Colorado-Colorado Springs (711) all finished from ninth to 19th place.
Sonoma State will play one final regular season tournament -- at the InterWest Wildcat Invitational at Butte Creek Country Club in Chico on Apr. 20-21 -- before it will await word on its NCAA postseason fate.
