Wallin Named Head Softball Coach At Lafayette
Wallin and the Seawolves had a successful 2009 season
ROHNERT PARK, Calif- Sonoma State head softball coach Jaime Wallin has resigned to assume head softball coaching duties at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. Wallin spent four years as coach of the Seawolves.
Said Sonoma State Director of Athletics Bill Fusco, "I am most appreciative of the four years of service Jaime gave to the softball program at Sonoma State University. The program, under her leadership, accomplished many positive, unprecedented goals on and off the field. I certainly wish her the best in her new position at Lafayette College."
Wallin took the Seawolves to the NCAA Tournament twice in her four seasons (2007, 2009) and the team's 36-25 record in 2009 was its best since 1997. Her cumulative record as head coach at Sonoma State was 105-129.
Lafeyette College is an NCAA Division I school that competes in the Patriot League.
A national search for Wallin's replacement will begin soon.
