NORMAN, Okla- All five members of the Sonoma State men's golf team's starting lineup have been named All-West Region by PING.
Jarin Todd,
Kyle Hopkins,
Chris Galvin, Jacob O'Keefe, and
Chris Galvin were rewarded Wednesday for helping the Seawolves to a CCAA and West Region championship. The Seawolves are currently in Houston, competing in the national tournament.
Todd, the reigning national player of the year, is in the running for that award again. This marks his second All-West Region selection.
Hopkins, a two-time All-American, earns his third All-West Region nod.
It is the first such award for Galvin, O'Keefe, or Bauer. Bauer was recognized as the CCAA Freshman of the Year earlier this spring.
The ten All-Region teams consist of a ten players that are selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Also, any player ranked in the top 50 of the final GolfState individual rankings, is added to the All-Region team. Inclusion on the All-Region team means that a player is eligible for All-America honors.
