ROHNERT PARK, Calif- Junior Cam Vickers scored in the 73rd minute and Sonoma State outshot the visiting Saint Mary's Gaels, 16-13, but the Seawolves came up short, losing 4-1 in their last exhibition match before the regular season starts on Sept. 4 at Fresno Pacific.

STANFORD, Calif- With just a couple more tuneups before the season opener on Sept. 4 at Fresno Pacific, the Sonoma State men's soccer team traveled to the south bay to take on NCAA Division I Stanford in an exhibition friendly on Sunday afternoon. The Seawolves held their own against the Cardinal, who are picked to finish second in the Pac-10 this season, but fell 3-2.

WALNUT CREEK, Calif- After a preseason vote of coaches in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), the nationally-ranked Sonoma State men's soccer team has been selected to win the North Division for the seventh consecutive season. The coaches also recognized the Seawolves as the favorites to claim the 2010 CCAA Championship Tournament title that will be held at Warrior Stadium on the campus of Cal State Stanislaus in Turlock on Nov. 5-7.

ROHNERT PARK, Calif- With 25 days remaining before the regular season opener on Sept. 4 against Fresno Pacific, the Sonoma State men's soccer team will start off the season recognized as one of the top 25 teams in Division II. The Seawolves have been ranked 22nd in the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Adidas Division II Preseason Poll, it was released Tuesday morning.

ROHNERT PARK, Calif- Sonoma State sophomore midfielder Cory Taufer and senior goalkeeper Brook Johnson were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) All-West Region Second Team after helping the Seawolves to their third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Tournament. Junior Ryan Hall and sophomores Trevor Hurst and Cam Vickers earned Third Team all-region honors.
